Description

We are combining two speakers for this year's keynote to discuss integration with the Live@EDU service.

Many of you know Randy from his previous role at University of Missouri. He now works with Oxford Computer Group to assist institutions with Live@EDU deployments including the unique challenges around provisioning, address books, etc. He will be joining us at the conference to deliver the keynote presentation and share his lessons from the field!

Approximately a year ago, Indiana University began the process of replacing its internally run mail service with vendor hosted products. One of the vendors for this project is Microsoft's hosted Exchange through Live@EDU. This session will discuss the business case and technology challenges for providing single sign-on into the Outlook Live environment. Additionally, it will discuss techniques used to bridge the gap where single sign-on is not practical or does not does not satisfy business requirements. Finally, it will discuss the future of true standards-based federation technology in the Live@EDU environment and where authentication challenges will remain.
